Reflection

Overall I found ENG 2003 to be a valuable learning experience, having never taken a course strictly focused on effective communication. Some of my greatest takeaways were the seven C’s such as clarity and conciseness. I also benefited greatly from guest lectures and tutorial sessions, which were engaging and useful.

I feel that taking this course was important for my growth as an engineer, because communication is vital across all domains of engineering and often just as important as technical aspects. Earlier in my academic career I often struggled giving presentations, but learned how to improve my timing and speaking skills.
